The Killers Announce Massive 2009 UK Arena Tour

The Killers have announced details of a massive UK arena tour, which will begin with two nights in London next February.

The jaunt, in support of the band's new album 'Day And Age', also includes shows in Sheffield, Newcastle and Manchester.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday (October 10th) at 9am and will be available through Gigwise here.

The Killers' tour dates are:

London, O2 Arena – February 23/24
Birmingham, LG Arena – 26
Cardiff, Arena – 28
Sheffield, Arena – March 2
Nottingham, Arena – 3
Aberdeen, AECC Arena – 5
Glasgow, SECC – 6
Newcastle, Arena – 7
Manchester, MEN Arena - 9

- Apparently it was going to be MGMT, but they wanted too much of a wage cut. Killers still in talks with them i know this because i am a moderator of tickets and the metro radio arena website, so i get details then publish them. Also killers were in talks With the band "black kids" but they decided to support the kaiser chiefs instead. I will let u know as soon as i find out info, but visit the metro radio arena website, as i will publish info on there before i do on here, hope th

Naa MGMT aint supporting, ive checked there myspace and website and they only have 1 tour date which isnt with the Killers, i tihnk its Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

MGMT were origionally supporting, but they wanted too much of a wage cut. so that has been stalled, and thats why we dont know 100% yet. i work at the metro radio arena at newcastle :) i get to watch gigs for free!!

Yes Louis XIV are definately supporting the Killers (from Jan to April. I just checked their offical website! There may be someone else supporting though, but at least we know 1 act for sure!

According to the MEN website there's just the one support act. I had hoped it would be someone a bit more well known than Louis XIV. I'm sure they are very good but.........
