Reverend and the Makers frontman Jon McClure has denied that he is to quit music - despite saying recently he wanted nothing to do with the “stinking” industry.
"I got a bit mental when I got down in the dumps and said I was going to quit but I won't, I'll carry on," he told BBC Newsbeat.
Last month, McClure was quoted as saying that Reverend and the Makers second album would be his last contribution to music.
But the singer, who has teamed up with ex-Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson to form a new group, has now vowed to return.
"There's some people I need to put straight on a few things first. I will be back, don't worry about that, I'm bullet-proof."
