Mark Ronson has retaliated against Noel Gallagher after the Oasis guitarist said he should learn to play three chords on the guitar before writing a song.
Speaking to the BBC last week, Gallagher also accused Ronson of “ruining” everyone else's music.
Responding to Gallagher's accusations, Ronson said he was taking guitar lessons from Jay-Z and that the US rapper has “already taught me both chords to 'Wonderwall'.
“In fact, it's so much fun having Jay teach me all of Noel's songs on the guitar (hooray!) that I'm thinking of doing an Oasis/Jay Z remix album a la 'The Grey Album'.
“Potential titles are 'Champagne Superhova' or 'Definitely Jay Z'. I'll keep you posted...,” he added.
Ronson's reference to Jay-Z follows the rapper's recent performance at the Glastonbury festival, which Gallagher had called “wrong” in the build up to the event.
As previously reported on Gigwise, last week Jay-Z relaesed a new song online entitled 'Jockin Jay-Z', in which he attacks Gallagher's comments.
