    Amy Winehouse was booed by members of the audience after arriving onstage late for her performance at the V Festival in Staffordshire tonight (August 16th).

    The singer, who missed last year’s event following a suspected drug overdose, was delayed en route to the festival, leaving her band members to fill a lengthy twenty minute pause.

    But when Winehouse finally took to the stage dressed in a black and white chequered top and cut-off jeans, she managed to win the crowd over with a set that pulled songs from her two albums.

    Notable standout songs included ‘Tears Dry On their Own’ and ‘Back to Black’, the title track of the singer’s second album.

    As rain continued to fall in Staffordshire, Winehouse once again drew boos when she dedicated ‘Wake Up Alone’ to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.

    Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month prison sentence for assault and perverting the course of justice.

    Winehouse’s reduced set ended with a powerful version of 'Rehab' and her cover of the Zutons’ hit ‘Valerie’.

    • i took my two ten year old grandchildren to see her what alet down for them the only good thing that came out of it they will never touch drugs if you have to look like that so thanks for something they loved scouting for girls

    • What a complete and utter shambles. She was definitley the worst act of the day. Total rubbish and a complete waste of anyones time. What a contrast to her backing band who you had to feel sorry for. Won the crowd over? What planet was the reviewer on when he wrote that?

    • I can’t believe anyone could give Amy a good review on her performanace on saturday, she turned up 30 minutes late, never mind the huge crowd of people waiting in the rain. I felt sorry for the band, who were waiting on stage for her. Then she does turn up, can hardly sing and is jumping around on the spot doing some mad frog like jump. Although credit were credit is due, it did amuse me highly when she went to pick up a guitar and you just saw one of the band tell her to leave it b

    • I went to Vfest with the hope to see a performance by Amy. That wasnt a performance I saw. The crowd boo’d She forgot the words, said she was bored of this S**T now in the middle of a really poor valerie and then left. I have seen stuttering drag queens do better than Amy Winehouse. The only thing I know after that is that I love her music and feel really sorry that she thinks its ok to display that lack of respect for the crowd her band and her fans!

    • watched her slur the words to Rehab on V’s highlight show last night; good god she was so out of it..shame really as she has such a great voice. If she isn’’t a walking anti drugs campaign I don’’t know what is!

    • Well I dont know about Staffordshire but on Sunday in Essex, although she arrived on time she forgot half the words to her songs and was completely off time...I left halfway through her performance because my ears could not endure it

    • Shes a hell of a lot better than she was and I think its utterly dicusting that she was boo’d @ stafford, there was bugger all crowd support if people dislike her that much, then they shouldnt of gone and watched, people know what to expect from her at the mo, she a recovering drug addict, but give the girl her due, shes a brilliant musician and she needs all the support she can get from fans to help her get better, I’’d be taking drugs if all I ever heard was that

    • Saw her at Chelmsford and tho it wasn’t a classic performance I thought she did pretty well. After a nervous looking start she reacted to the support of the crowd and got into it and seemed to be enjoying herself towards the end. All the folks around me were dancing away...booing someone who’’s dealing with problems isn’’t the kind of behaviour I’’d condone or recommend....shame on you Stafford.

    • Was the reviewer actually there?! She murrmered her way through the songs, forgetting some of the words to Valerie! She wasn’t even singing some of the parts she just jibbered along, and danced like she was having a fit. I was really looking forward to seeing her, but the performance left a bitter taste, she should have been dragged off the stage before she damages her career further. It was like watching a car crash.

    • WHat a complete car crash she is!! I was really looking forward to seeing Amy Winehouse, mainly for the sheer fact she probably won’t make 25 and I want to see her before she dies but she was a complete mess, out of tune, mumbling, stumbling - I’’ve seen p*ssed tramps busking on the Underground doing a better job than her. What a waste of talent as she has a great voice.
