Liam Gallagher Pays Tribute To John Lennon On New Oasis Album

Liam Gallagher pays tribute to his Beatles hero John Lennon on Oasis's new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', it's been reported.

It's understood that the ballad 'I'm Outta Time', which has been written by Gallagher, features an extract from an old interview with Lennon.

The song is also already a contender for a future single.

“Liam has so much passion for the subject,” a source told the Sun newspaper. “He’s obsessed. That’s why the song is so brilliant and poignant.”

'Dig Out Your Soul' is due to be released on October 6th and will be preceded by the single 'The Shock Of Lightning', which is out on September 28th.

You can hear an extract of I\'m Outta Time on Lord don\'t Slow Me Down, an acoustic version, and it sounds miles better than Songbird. It\'s easily gonna be his best song to date.

i find it funny ..since harrison hated oasis with his comment about the dummer being the only good thing about them..and im sure if lennon was alive he would hate oasis too..

is anyone familiar with a John Lennon tribute song (oasis?)that has some of the following lyrics. End of 1st verse..."thank you for the sun, the one that shines on everyone, who feels love"....beginning of 2nd verse...."leaving all that I see...... The song is medium tempo in the key of G. I got what there was of it from limewire under the title "Woman" by Oasis as a tribute to John Lennon. Would love to know the name, artist, and hear the rest of the song. Help!
