Velvet Revolver Members Gave Scott Weiland The Cold Shoulder

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has admitted that the band forced Scott Weiland out by ignoring him.

Slash says that during the band’s European tour he and the other members acted like Weiland didn’t exist until he took the hint.

Weiland at one point announced on stage in Glasgow that the band were over but the former Guns ‘n’ Roses man says that was all part of the plan.

He revealed: "We basically didn't speak a word (to Weiland) that whole time. We gave him the cold shoulder in the U.K. like nobody's business.

“There were a couple of arguments around the stage but, other than that, nobody spoke to him.

"I imagine he was quite uncomfortable. No wonder he didn't have a good time. Then, he told everyone in Glasgow that the whole band was over.

“We were like, 'Oh well, I guess we've got a surprise coming for you'."

  • Not very professional Mr Hudson. I seen Revolver in Liverpool last month and Weiland had the decency to put on a show. Good luck to him in the future. Wonder if Slash, Duff and Matt fancy a return to Axl?

  • I’m a die hard GnR and STP fan..of course turned to VR, thinking that finally there is still a real rock band that would provide us with great music for the coming years. This is just disappointing news.

  • Ya know, I think Slash is a whiney little bitch, and Matt is just a puppet. You would think after the whole Axle experience he could handle situations with a little more class. Sorry Slash, I’m a fan I bought your book, but from what I’m reading you’re a fuckin asshole. Why Don’t you start up another cool band, so You can have part in fuckin that up and letting more of your fans down. Better yet, Why don’t you shut the fuck up and let Duff deal with lead singers.

  • I just heard Scott Wieland on Howard Stearn, and you can bet your ass this story is true. Scott laid it down word for word. That sucks. Scott had to put Axle back in his place for slash when Axle started talking shit. Matt and Slash are fuckin assholes. HEY SLASH and MATT, It’s Rock and Roll not congress.... Bad example. Congressmen are just as fucked as you two. I do think Duff is the coolest guy on the planet. VIVA STP!!!!!!!
