  • Not a terrible list if you are only looking at rock and blues, but it is supposedly from ”many musical spectrums.” If it is supposed to be that wide reaching, then there are two major ommissions, both of which should have been top ten. Where are Chet Atkins and Les Paul?

  • This is a dreadful, ill informed compilation clearly assembled on the grounds of poor judgment. There is not a single entrant here in their correct place, it’s a total mish mash. Hendrix no longer justifies the top spot, he’s been completely overtaken by other guitarists who have enjoyed a longer life and have contributed more. Jimi checked out early, he’s number one on the basis that his talent by the time he passed away probably will be without equal.

And the only time SRV ever came up with something that wasn’t derivative or Blues Licks 101 was when David Bowie told him what to play. That tattooed freak from Slayer ahead of Gilmour? Fuck me!
