Michael Jackson will make a surprise appearance at the Super Bowl this Sunday (February 3rd), according to reports.

It’s understood that the appearance, which could come in an advert inspired by his song ‘Thriller’, will launch a week of promotion for the singer.

Jackson has already been linked with a possible live performance at the Grammy Awards on February 10th.

The performance would come on the eve of the release of the 25th anniversary edition of ‘Thriller’, which features new collaborations with Kanye West and Fergie.

In a leaked memo from Jackson’s record company SonyBMG, talks aimed at organising a series of live events for the singer are still in progress.

Last weekend, Jackson appeared in a pre-recorded video message thanking his French fans for presenting him with an NRJ lifetime achievement award.

  • If Michael does it properly this time, I’m happy! Don’t do anything half-heartedly, do it Mike, and do it PROPERLY, then you’ll knock ’em DEAD! Because we all know he’s talented, come on.

  • The fact is that Michael Jackson is both the enigmatic and the truly extraordinary fused together. His incomparable dancing abilities alone reveal an unmatched grace--one that radiates with every gesture, every movement he expresses which no can replicate despite all the ultra-mediocre copycat types like Timberfake, Brown, etc. He is already inscribed in the annuls of eternal music history as a brilliant creative musical and performative genius, alongside the likes of Mozart and Beethoven!

  • He is known as the king of pop, because he gave himself that name. ALL this hype for an album from 25 years ago? Wow living in the past, huh. The sad thing is look at all what is supposed to be schedule for this ”comeback”, none of it is him on stage singing or even lip sycning and performing.

  • Yes I’m very thrilled about a Michael Jackson come back. I am only 15 and the only live MJ performance I’ve seen is the world music awards in 2007. And I don’t normaly watch the super bowl but this year I will just to see Michael Jackson. How ever I do own many concert DVDs and every album. Any way I would love to see MJ at the super bowl or any where. I will probubly act like I’m there.
