My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has decided not to make a New Year resolution this year because of his inability to keep them.

Way says his previous attempts to give up smoking have all ended in failure.

"I always say, 'quit smoking', but I know I won't, so there is no point,” he said.

The singer went on to explain, however, that he didn’t feel the need to make any resolutions for 2008.

"I feel really strong at the moment, a strong spine supporting me, so I can't think of anything I need to change,” he explained.

Yes you can stop Gerard. I read that Frank has stopped (hope that’s true) so there’s your inspiration. Don’t want you to become ill. You need to protect your voice and lungs, without those how can you sing. Luv you xxxxxxxxxxxx

You Can Stop! Your The Person I Look Up To Most In This World. You’ve Changed Over Time (You Recovered From Drugs And Alcohol Addiction) And I Know You Can Stop Smoking. Each Cigarette You Take Is Taking Away Some Of The Time You Have With Your Friends, Family And With L-ynz.
