50 Cent has pulled his entire UK and European promotional trip in the wake of being beaten in the album chart battle by Kanye West.

The outspoken rapper was due to perform at the MOBO and Vodaphone Live Music awards this week, but his management have now confirmed he will not appear. He’s also cancelled a performance in Germany.

A statement released to MTV reads: "50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last minute, unforseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European Promotion Trip from Sept. 18- 25."

As reported yesterday, Kanye West’s ‘Graduation’ heavily outsold Fiddy’s ‘Curtis’ in the album chart to take the top spot.

Fiddy had previously said he’d retire if Kanye beat him. Maybe these cancellations are a sign of things to come?

  • 50 cent gave rap a whole new meaning, hot sounds great beats. I was shocked everytime 50 released a new single and he still sounded good. Kanye came and turned rap into some sort of hardcore rock crap I cant stand his music I dont know if hes rapping, talking or having a shit. It was embarassin for someone at 50’s calibur to get beaten in the charts by kanye, the charts never had good taste so like a man 50 steppd back, kept his word and let kanye fuck up rap music for us, thanks kanye
