Van Halen To Hold Tour Press Conference On Monday

Van Halen have confirmed that they will announce details of their reunion tour with David Lee Roth on Monday.

As previously reported on Gigwise talk was rife earlier this week that a press conference would take place in the next seven days.

The band will hold a press conference at the Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles to reveal the locations of the 50 date North American arena tour.

The shows will be the first time David Lee Roth has performed with the band in over twenty years.

Earlier this year the tour was delayed when Eddie Van Halen went into rehab.

  • I agree, without Mike’s back-up vocals and harmonies, it’s just not gonna be the same. I saw Van Halen in the Houston Summit (now a huge church, no comment for you pathetic bible thumpers out there, but I digress) back in 1984, and I realize there will never be a re-creation of that show, but at least they could get all of the original members back together.

    • Did anyone ever care if aerosmith’s backin’vox are live? Just like them(and almost any other band!)VH will loop em in to get perfect sound. Who the hell cares about backing vox?! Look forward to this sensationel reunion tour and a bass player,who might be better than mike was(wolfi is a van halen!!!)

  • First, I am a huge Van Halen fan. Second, without Michael Anthony’s background vocals and bass line, it will be tough listening to DLR growling his way ”Running with the Devil”, ”Romeo’s Delight” and ”Jamie’s Cryin’” - Eddie is setting Wolfie up for big time failure -- the kid will need to bring it.

  • I am sooooo upset that Michael Anthony won’t be playing. To me, this is not Van Halen. I still have hopes that all this is a publicity stunt, and during the press conference, that pint-sized-whisky-drinking-mot her-f*cker will show up with his Jack Daniels bass, and they will announce the four are coming back… live in front of our naked steaming eyes! I would pay upwards of $1,000 to see the original four play again. With Wolfie on bass, I don’t think I would go to
