    The Michael Jackson 'This Is It' documentary has grossed more than $200million worldwide.

    The film, which was released last month, has grossed the majority of its earnings ($61million) at the US box office.

    To date, This Is It has made £8.5million in the UK, where it is currently number two on the box office chart.

    The movie, which includes footage of Jackson rehearsing for his ill-fated comeback gigs, was originally due to run for a limited two-week period.

    My Chemical Romance have spoken about their as yet-untitled fourth album and have revealed that for the very first time it will be concept free.

    Gerard told Kerrang!: “To be able to let go of your game plan is really hard.

    He continued: “Everything is taking so much longer, in a really great way. We’ve never been able to go through the songs like this and get things as great as we possibly can.

    The follow-up to 2006's 'The Black Parade' will be released next year.

    John Lydon says he is “proud” to be the face of Country Life butter.

    Despite receiving a lot of flak for appearing on the TV commercial, Lydon says the money from the commercial has funded the Public Image Ltd reformation.

    Speaking to the Camden Journal ahead of PiL's Electric Ballroom shows in December, Lydon said: “The money I got from that advert is the advance on this. We live on a lucky end of a shoestring here until the first gig money comes in.

    Responding to the criticism he's received, Lydon continued: “Why are they questioning me? What manual am I supposed to adopt? I’m promoting a British product which I’m very proud of.

    Pixies have been confirmed as the headliners of Primavera Sound Festival 2010.

    Frank Black and co. are the second act to be confirmed for the Barcelona festival following the announcement of fellow music icons Pavement.

    Primavera Sound Festival takes place from May 27th to 29th at the Parc del Forum in the Spanish city.

    Queen's Brain May and Roger Taylor are the latest artists lined up to guest perform on The X Factor this weekend.

    The guitarist and drummer will join all the show's contestants for a rendition of their biggest hit 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on Sunday's results show.

    Saturday's show will see Jedward and co. perform versions of Queen's hit songs.

    An X Factor 'insider' tells The Sun: "Simon personally requested Brian and Roger get involved in the show and they were happy to do it.

    Robbie Williams reunited on stage with Take That in London on Thursday, but stopped short of performing with his former group.

    The singer looked emotional as he appeared alongside Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald.

    Barlow, who organised the Children In Need event at the Royal Albert Hall, introduced Williams on stage as “an old friend of ours”.

    It was the first time the singer had appeared in public with the entire group since he quit in mid-90s.

    The xx say they are “ridiculously sad” that Baria Qureshi has departed the band for good.

    In an interview with The Stool Pigeon, Oliver Sim from the band announced that The xx were now a three-piece and cited touring as a major reason for Qureshi's exit.

    Sim said: "It's just been a case of, I suppose, growing apart? It's a big jump from 13-years-old to 20. I think we've just grown into different people and I don't believe touring was for her, really."

    He continued: "It's been ridiculously sad, but I'm quite looking forward to seeing what spawns from here. For the first time in a long time we sat and worked, jamming in a rehearsal space trying to build up the live set again and have moved a bit further away from the album, after a stage of just reciting it.

    Three-dimensional scans of Michael Jackson mean the late singer could perform once more in music videos and films.

    The scans were taken in 1996 when Jackson asked for a virtual reality double to be made of himself.

    They were discovered recently when an American businessmen attempted to sell them for £1million, reports the Telegraph.

    “The data has been in our archives and vault since then,” he said.

    !!! have paid tribute to their drummer Jerry Fuchs who died after falling down an elevator shaft in New York on Sunday morning (November 8).

    Paying homage to the “special” person that Jerry was, the band wrote on their Myspace page:

    “thanks to everyone who has contacted us with their love and support. we could never put into words how special a person jerry was and how much we loved him. we ask that you tell all the people you care about and are thankful for that you love them. we wish we still had jerry.”

    The tragic accident occurred when a manual elevator stopped between floors and Fuchs tried to jump onto the floor below.

    He was just 34-years-old when he passed away.
