Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has launched a stinging attack on Iran, saying that America could “totally obliterate” the country if it launched a nuclear strike against Israel.

Clinton must beat fellow democrat Barack Obama in a crucial vote in Pennsylvania to keep her bid to be the parties candidate for Presidency alive.

"In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them,"

Sir Paul McCartney has told people to think seriously about becoming a vegetarian in order to control global warming.

The former Beatle, who is a longtime vegetarian, said that the meat industry was one of the biggest contributors to climate change.

“I would urge everyone to think about taking this simple step to help our precious environment and save it for the children of the future,” he said, in an interview with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

In the interview, which has been released through Reuters, McCartney said he found it “surprising that most major environmental organizations” aren’t advertising the option of going vegetarian.

A report by the United Nations in 2006 found that cattle rearing creates more greenhouse gases than transportation.

What do you think about McCartney's comments? Would you become a vegetarian to help stop climate change? Let us know...

Tory MP Ann Widdecombe has hit out at the British Justice System saying that Pete Doherty should have been put behind bars much earlier.

Glad to see him finally in jail for breaking the conditions of his probation order, Widdecombe told the NME: "This is long overdue. The fact that he got away with it for so long was sending out the wrong signals. When someone is in the public eye and sets the wrong example there should be a crackdown.

Doherty was jailed for 14 weeks on April 8.

They have formally asked the Federal Election Commission to investigate, saying in a statement: "Sir Elton John is not a citizen of the United States and is therefore prohibited from making any contribution to Senator Clinton's presidential campaign."
