Paul Weller To Play Eden Project In Cornwall For Rainforests Charity This coming July...

Paul Weller is set to play a one-off show at the Eden Project in Cornwall this summer.
The gig, on July 10, is in aid of Prince Charles' Rainforests Project.
Weller joins a growing lists of acts, including Razorlight, who will play the venue this summer.
Tickets go on sale on May 19 at 6pm and will be available via the Gigwise Gig Guide.

Morrissey Cancels Birmingham Gig Tomorrow (May 13) Due To Illness...

Morrissey has been forced to cancel his concert at Birmingham's Symphony Hall tomorrow (May 13) due to illness.
The singer has been told by doctors to continue resting “to ensure a complete recuperation”, a statement said.
The announcement follows the cancellation of Morrissey's scheduled show at London's Royal Albert Hall last night.
Organisers have apologised to fans for any disappointment and are working on rescheduling both gigs, the statement added.

The Maccabees Announce Series Of New UK Shows They'll begin touring this September...

The Maccabees have announced a nine date UK tour that will see them hit the road this autumn.
The tour begins in Bristol and includes a huge headline show at London's Brixton Academy before culminating in Leeds.
The shows will follow the band's extensive summer festival commitments that will see them play sets at The Great Escape, Isle of Wight, Leeds & Reading and the Evolution fesival in Newcastle.

The Cribs Announce Autumn UK Tour As they ready their fourth album...

The Cribs have announced plans to tour the UK in September and October as they prepare the release of their fourth album.
They will hit the road for fourteen shows starting on September 24 at Norwich UEA and culminating in London at the Forum.
The Yorshire trio, who have now been joined by Smiths legend Johnny Marr, are currently holed up in Los Angeles recording and mixing the follow up to 2007's 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever'.
Marr previously toured with the band for four intimate shows across the UK in February.

Elbow Announce Giant Homecoming Manchester Gig To round off tour...

Elbow will play their final live date of 2009 in their hometown of Manchester, it’s been announced.
The Mercury Prize winners will play the MEN Arena on September 18.
The concert will mark the band’s last public performance before they return to the studio to record the follow-up to 2008’s ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’.
In a statement, singer Guy Garvey said: “It's been a brilliant couple of years if, at times, a bit frantic and occasionally bizarre.

Pearl Jam Announce UK Arena Dates They form part of European tour...

Pearl Jam are set to play two UK dates as part of a brief European tour.
The US band will play Manchester's MEN Arena on August 17 and the O2 Arena in London on August 18.
Two other dates will take place in Rotterdam and Berlin.

Sonic Youth Unveil Huge US Tour Set to kick off in June...

Sonic Youth have announced details of a huge US tour, which kicks off in Chicago on June 28.
The band, who release new album 'The Eternal' in the same month, are due to play 20 dates.
Sonic Youth will stop at venues in Birmingham, Kansas and Portland, according to Brooklyn Vegan.
'The Eternal' was recorded alongside producer John Agnello throughout November and December at the band's Echo Canyon West studio in Hoboken

Green Day Announce Huge UK And Ireland Arena Tour In support of new album...

Green Day are set to play an arena tour at venues across the UK and Ireland later this year.
The America band will begin the ten show run at Glasgow's SECC on October 19.
The tour will also feature two gigs at arenas in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Lily Allen Announces Biggest UK Tour To Date It includes arena show...

Lily Allen has announced details of a new UK tour, which will see her perform some of the biggest gigs of her career.
The singer is set to kick off the jaunt in Sheffield on November 16, before calling at venues in Manchester, Bournemouth and Swindon.
Allen will perform at the Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on November 24 and the O2 Academy in Brixton on November 27.
The singer releases her new single 'Not Fair' on May 11.

Gossip Announce Short UK Tour In support of new album...

Gossip have announced a string of UK tour dates, beginning in London on May 28.
The band will also perform at venues in Manchester and Glasgow.
Gossip are also scheduled to appear at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon over the weekend of May 9-10.
The group release their new album ‘Music For Men’ on June 22.
