    Kraftwerk were joined by Great Britain's Olympic cycling team at a very special 3D show in Manchester last night.

    The German music legends were performing 'Tour de France' at the Velodrome when the athletes came on and hurtled around the 250 metre track.

    Naturally, this was rapturously received by the sell-out crowd bedecked in 3D glasses.

    A fan told BBC6music: "I think I died and went to heaven when the cyclists came out for Tour De France. That’s the best track and action I've ever seen working together - it's my gig of the year."

    The line-up for this year's Get Loaded in the Park has expanded again with 10 new acts confirmed.

    Added to the bill are MSTRKRFT, Telepathe, Tom Middleton, John Kennedy, The Count & Sinden, MPHO, Goldfish, Blame feat. Selah, We Are Enfant Terrible, Live Tech Rebelz and Fish Don't Dance DJs.

    They join up a line-up that already boasts Orbital, Laurent Garnier, Felix Da Housecat, Booka Shade, Peaches, Carl Craig and many more.

    Royksopp will be headlined Gigwise's co-hosted stage with Xfm.

    Get Loaded in the Park takes place on Sunday August 30 at Clapham Common, South London. Tickets cost £35 plus booking fee and are available through Gigwise by clicking here

    The Hold Steady will close this year's End of the Road festival, it's been announced.

    The event in North Dorset, which runs from September 11-13, will also feature headliners Fleet Foxes and Explosions in the Sky.

    As previously reported on Gigwise, The Horrors, Blitzen Trapper, The Duke & The King and Shearwater will also perform at the festival.

    Editors and Doves will headline the Bingley Music Live festival, it's been announced.

    The event, which runs from September 4-6 in Myrtle Park, will also feature Calvin Harris and The Zutons.

    Other acts set to appear at the event in The Futureheads, VV Brown and Howling Bells.

    Limp Bizkit have been added to the line up for this year's Sonisphere festival in Knebworth.

    The recently reformed band will perform on the closing day of the event, which runs from July 31-August 2.

    Other new additions to the line up include Blackhole, Exit Ten and The Crave.

    The festival will feature previously announced headliners Metallica and Linkin Park.

    Kasabian are set to headline this year's Liverpool Music Week festival.

    The band will perform at the city's Echo Arena on November 16, a date which forms part of their UK tour.

    Meanwhile, The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers will also appear at the festival. All three bands are currently touring with Oasis.

    Liverpool Music Week, now in its sixth year, features a combination of free and ticketed gigs.

    Jack Penate has been added to the line up for the Reading and Leeds festivals.

    The London singer, who released new album 'Everything Is New' this month, will play Reading on August 28 and Leeds two days later.

    As previously reported on Gigwise, the main stage will be headlined by Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead.

    Other acts scheduled to appear at Reading and Leeds include Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

    Vampire Weekend and Fall Out Boy will also appear.

    Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has said this year's festival, which ended yesterday, was the best ever.

    Eavis, who has a reputation for making the same statement every year, said the three headliners – Blur Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young – pleased everyone.

    “Having Neil Young, who I've been waiting for for 39 years, and Bruce Springsteen just appear out of the blue - and of course Blur tonight - we've got three major, major headliners,” he told reporters.

    "Neil Young pleased all the old hippie types and Springsteen pleased everyone else. He did a hell of a show, what energy he has at 58 years of age is amazing.
