Bloom Festival 2009 Cancelled, Organisers Announce But there are options for ticket holders...
By Andrew Almond on 3 August 2009
This year's Bloom Festival, which had been due to tack place from August 16-18 at Chepstow Racecourse, has been cancelled.
A number of factors were blamed, including having to change the venue at the last minute and the current economic climate.
Organisers said both reasons “meant that they have been on the back foot for most of the year”.
But the festival is set to return “bigger and stronger” in 2010, they added.
The festival had been due to feature performances from James Yuill, Filthy Dukes and Frankmusik.
Festival organiser Olivia Chapman said: “It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make, as Bloom is an independently run organisation, built from our very heart and souls.
"We have worked tirelessly for the best part of nine months on this event which makes it very hard for us to walk away from it. However we have to think of the bigger picture and feel that we are making the right decision”.
However, there are a number of options open to those who have tickets.
