German rockers Rammstein have shocked fans by admitting they’re listening to Coldplay and are teaming up with Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri on their new album.
The long-player, ‘Rosenrot’, hits the shelves on October 28 and also features a Mexican Mariachi band.
Band frontman Till Lindemann said: "Mexican trumpet just seemed like a good idea. On ‘Reise, Reise’ we had a country moment and the reaction was so positive we were encouraged to go on experimenting and try more unusual stuff.
"We draw inspiration from whatever catches our ears. If you step in other people's footsteps you won't leave a trace."
Christoph Schneider, as contact music reports, added: "I've been listening to Coldplay these days for example."
