Oasis - 'Don't Believe The Truth'Despite receiving mixed reviews for their latest album Oasis have proved the critics wrong and picked up two awards at this year’s Q Awards.

At the London ceremony the band were name as the people’s favourite after winning the readers vote plus their record ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ picked up the award for Best Album.

Other notable winners included U2 who won the Best Live Act and Coldplay who were named as the Best Act in the World.

Animated group Gorillaz also received two awards for Best Video and Best Producer.
