Police Reopen Tupac Shakur Shooting Case

An unsolved shooting involving Tupac Shakur at a studio in New York has been reopened by police who believe it is connected to the rappers death.

The incident took place at the Quad Studios in 1994 when Shakur was shot fives times in the lobby of the building after being invited to the studio to record. Later that year Shakur was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in a New York hotel and sentenced to prison in February 1995.

Police are now investigating several theories that the New York shooting was connected to Shakur's murder in 1996, a source told Allhiphop: "They are investigating the Quad shooting and other unsolved murders related to the Hip-Hop business."

The source added: "No one was killed in the Quad incident, so that aspect is dead as an investigation. But what they are investigating is the shooting's connection to Tupac's murder in Las Vegas."

The investigation is believed to be centred around Shakur’s one time associate Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemund who currently acts as manager for rapper The Game and other Hip Hop stars through his company Czar Entertainment.

The relationship between the pair apparently soured after the New York studio shooting with Shakur accusing Rosemund, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Christopher ‘Notorious BIG’ Wallace of being involved in the attack.

On his song ‘Against All Odds’ Shakur rapped: "Promised a payback, Jimmy Henchmen in due time/I knew you bitch niggaz was listening/The World is Mine/Set me up, wet me up, niggaz stuck me up/Heard the guns bust, but you tricks never shut me up/Touch one of mine on everything I own I'll destroy everything you touch/play the game nigga."

Rosemund has continually denied being involved in either the New York shooting or Shakur’s death in Las Vegas.
