Gary Lightbody has revealed that Snow Patrol are to starting their next album in September after they recently finished touring ‘Final Straw’.
Lighbody announced the news in a message to fans on the bands official website and added that he expects the album to be recorded in no more than six weeks.
He said: “After a few weeks off to do some washing and pay the odd bill we will start on the new record. We haven't decided where we're going to do it yet, but we have narrowed it down to a few studios.”
“We hope to be under way with the actual recording by the end of September and spend not much more than six weeks on the recording itself. The plan is to be well prepared before we go in, so that we can be focused when we start. Rather than go in and jam like some bands. Jamming never worked for us!”
