Stadium rock super heavyweight Meat Loaf was last week involved in a jet drama after a plane he was on skidded off the runway at Manchester airport.
The ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ star was on board a privately hired Eastern Airways Jetstream 41 from Hamburg to Manchester last Tuesday when it left the runway during it’s attempts to land. Airport officials originally refused to confirm he was onboard but his press agents have since confirmed he was.
Meat Loaf had completed the German leg of his current European tour on Tuesday evening with a concert in Hamburg. Both runways at the airport were shut after the incident forcing flights to be redirected to Liverpool or Birmingham.
This latest accident for Meat Loaf, who is still the same weight as when he was 12 (Apparently?!), comes 18 months after he collapsed on stage during a 2003 show at Wembley Arena. The performer was hospitalized when doctors discovered he suffered from a rare heart disease.
