Matchbox Twenty are reportedly being sued by a man for using his image on their hit album ‘Yourself Or Someone Like You’.
Frank Torres, the plump man featured on the 1996 album cover claims the band never asked his permission for using the photograph, reports contactmusic.
Legal papers obtained by the US show Celebrity Justice show that Torres claims the band “knowingly, intentionally and maliciously” put his photograph on the cover which caused him “emotional distress”.
Torres alleges he was simply walking down the street when a photographer asked to take his picture. His lawyer says that Torres only found out about the album within the past two years, which caused the delay in legal proceedings.

- There is a HUGE difference between ”Sure, you can take my picture”.......and... ”Sure, you can use my photo, to use on the cover of an album of a successful rock band, to be seen by millions, even those who won’t buy it, for you to make millions from.” And that’s not even touching the money he SHOULD have been paid for it. Models get paid.. why not him?
