The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins is to release his own solo album.
The comical rocker will release his album ‘British Wail’ in June, reports The Sun.
Recorded at his home studio in North London, Justin hints that the album will deviate away from rock slightly and have a synth-based sound.
He said: "It's a lot less rock that the band stuff. There's a lot more synths. I suppose you could call it luxurious rock."
The first single to be released from the album will be a cover of the Sparks tune 'This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us.'
Hawkins told the paper that he plans to play a series of solo shows to support the album .
He also said fans should not fear about the Darkness splitting up. The band plan to release the follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Permission To Land’ this autumn.
