Former Culture Club singer Boy George has attacked Sir Elton John for a 2002 award's performance with Eminem.
George is reported by Pop-music.com of saying, "It's like me singing with Pol Pot. People will call you a fag or whatever occasionally, but it's so much more prevalent now and he has to take some responsibility. He's an arsehole and I think every gay person with a brain cell found it hideously offensive to see Elton performing with him."
John and Eminem, who has a record of singing homophobic lyrics, duetted on the rap star's track 'Stan' at the MTV Awards before embracing each other. The comparison to Pol Pot seems a bit harsh, as he was the Cambodian dictator who killed millions of people.
Rocket Man John is no stranger to snide comments like these. In recent times he has criticised Madonna for her stage performances and George Michael's private life. Perhaps they should all get together and sort out their problems whilst doing each others' hair and make up.
