Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has expressed a desire to collaborate with The Streets’ Mike Skinner.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Bellamy said that they had yet to ask Skinner but hoped it would lead to “England’s answer to Rage Against The Machine.”
“Like London rap rock – just like a little one off – it might be a laugh,” he said.
As previously reported, Muse made a special appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in London last weekend on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The band’s one-off show preceded their scheduled appearance at the V Festival this August - which Bellamy revealed would be a chance for them to play new material.
“Yeah I think we would hope to play something new there – one or two things maybe," he explained.
“Whether that would be a single or not I don’t know but certainly we would like to try a couple of new tracks for the first time.”
