Van Morrison will open this years South By South West Festival in Texas, it’s been confirmed.

The veteran will perform at La Zona Rosa on March 12th - the day the music conference gets underway.

The show will form part of a short US tour in support of Van Morrison's new album, ‘Keep It Simple’.

The album is the first time in several years that tracks have been written especially for the same project.

‘Keep It Simple’ is released in the United Kingdom on March 17th.
