Amy Winehouse left rehab temporarily yesterday in an attempt to obtain a visa to work in the United States.
Her prearranged visit to the US Embassy in London focussed specifically on obtaining a visa in order to attend the Grammy Awards this Sunday (February 10th).
Winehouse was accompanied by her father, Mitch, and a nurse from the Capio Nightingale clinic, where she is receiving treatment.
"The appointment at the US Embassy was made some time ago and was part of process for obtaining a visa," her spokesperson told the BBC.
"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic."
The spokesman added that “no decision” had been made as to whether she would attend the ceremony later this week, where she is nominated for six awards.
Winehouse’s bid for a visa has been hurt by an arrest and fine for drugs possession in Norway last year.
