Janet Jackson has urged her brother Michael to rejoin the Jackson 5 on a possible world tour.
Jackson’s comments come as her brother is reported to be in talks to play a solo residency at the O2 Arena in London later this year.
Janet Jackson, who is currently promoting her own solo album ‘Discipline’, said she would “be the first in line to buy a ticket” if all five members reunited.
“I do know that my brothers want to and I know it's been kind of tough for Mike. He's kind of on the fence, from what I know about it,” she told AFP.
"Maybe he just wants to continue to be a solo artist and if that's what he wants then you have to respect his wishes," she continued. "But what an impact it would have on the world and he has to see that because everyone else does.
"I think he'd have to be blind not to see that," Jackson added.
The band last toured together in 1984, bringing to an end a career which included the hits ‘ABC’ and ‘I Want You Back’.

- MJ is lazy, he isnt going to do a solo concert or a J5 concert. OR even a new album, the guy has been a fraud for 20 years now. The public is allot smarter then they were back in 1983. They know smoke & mirrors when they see it and a guy that Lip Syncs 90% of the time is a Fraud & a Guy where 100% of his TV perfomances are Lip Synced is a joke. All smoke & mirrors. - Yes MJ talks a good game but he never backs it up. Just like his finances I guess. He will never tour again. The fan base just isn’t there & hasn’t been there for a very long time.
- Michael Jackson is the best of the best, the world’s greatest entertainer whether as a solo act or with the Jackson 5.
- Julie...YOU...try belting high notes while dancing continuously and precisely. If you can’t do something yourself, don’t criticize others. I’m glad MJ is taking a hold of his life now and not doing what others tell him to do. It’s his choice whether he wants to tour or not. A fraud? That’s the last thing I’d call him. He’s quite original...not a copy like Justin and Usher for example. I have to laugh when I see them perform; they copy all of MJR
