Arctic Monkeys appear to have released a new single under a different band name.
The limited edition 7” vinyl by a band called Death Ramps has appeared on Domino Records website – the same label which is also home to the Sheffield band.
A picture of the record, which features the songs ‘The Death Camps’ and ‘Nettles,’ is accompanied by a message which hints at the real source of the material.
“Unfortunately, we're not allowed to tell you the true identity of the Death Ramps but needless to say they're a band with A Certain Romance (wink, wink),” the message explains.
Fans of the Arctic Monkeys will already know that ‘Nettles’ has appeared on the bands setlist at a number of live shows throughout 2007.
The vinyl is limited to 250 copies and is being issued on a first-come-first-served basis via the Domino website, here.
