Two heavyweights of nineties pop music, Aqua and Ace of Base, have announced that they are reforming this week.
Swedish popsters Ace of Base have confirmed a string of dates this autumn in Russia, Denmark and Lithuania, with more European dates rumoured to be in the pipeline.
However, the group have denied media reports that they have been approached to be Sweden’s entry in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, saying “This is not correct! There’s never been any official request from SVT (Swedish Television) if the band is interested to participate for Sweden in the Eurovision song contest.”
Meanwhile, seemingly spurred on by the Big Brother twins’ cover of their number one hit ‘Barbie Girl’, Aqua have confirmed that they are set to release a Greatest Hits record and plan a European tour for early 2008. An official statement is set to be released today. Hallelujah.
