Ungdomskulen - 'Ordinary Son'

Some bands enjoy confusing the record buying public. We have to presume that Norwegian underbellies Ungdomskulen are of that kind; throwing around a name that supposedly refers to middle school (dictionary says Ungdomsskole) and not ‘scowling youths’ (dictionary says maybe - our Norwegian does admittedly suck); and are signed to !K7’s sub label having no singular inclination towards the dee-jay-ing. Who are these rogues? Playing Fugazi inspired guitar rifts laden with experimental sounds harking back to the early nineties, it doesn’t really matter. Yes, a band from the ethers of the Arctic Circle, the dimly lit land of the midnight sun, are delivering a ice chilled debut in the form of ‘Ordinary Son’- and yes, you will want some.
