A new exhibition of John Squire’s work is set to be displayed in London this autumn.
Following his first exhibition at the Smithfield Gallery in Farringdon, a further selection of his work will be showcased at the Dazed & Confused gallery on Old Street, East London.
The former Stone Roses and Seahorses man will be presenting painting on large scale canvas and mixed media artworks, which the PR people claim ‘represent a distinct maturity in the artist’s practise, developed away from the music industry spotlight.’
Titled ‘New Work II’, the exhibition runs for four weeks from September 7 to October 4.
As previously reported, in July Squire revealed that he has quit music for good preferring to focus solely on his art. He said: “It seems to me that painting comes a lot easier. There’s less effort involved. It comes more naturally, there’s no committee involved.”
