Mick Jagger’s son, James, has followed The Rolling Stones’ lead by lighting up on stage this week.
However, unlike his father’s bandmates Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood who flouted the smoking ban at the o2 Arena, James Jagger had special permission.
In fact, the 22-year-old became the first person to legally smoke onstage in the capital during his acting debut at the King’s Head Theatre in Islington, North London.
Environmental health officials granted him a licence to smoke after it was deemed it was essential to the artistic value of the play, Lone Star, set in early seventies Texas.
Apparently, James had asked that Mick and the rest of the family did not attend his acting debut. Mick was spotted leaving Spamalot in the West End.
