A former undercover Police officer has revealed that the West Midlands once planned to fit up UB40 in a fake drugs bust.
Ronnie Howard makes the claims in a new book entitled ‘Looking For Trouble’ which is about his 23 years spent in the force.
Hilariously the bust was code-named ‘There’s A Rap In My Kitchen’ after the bands famous hit ‘Rat In Mi Kitchen’.
Howard says in the book: “They needed a high profile bust and I was disgusted because all they were interested in was fitting people up.”
“I told them I wanted nothing to do with it.”
