I literally cannot think of anything worse than having to review this. I feel bad for not coming in to the record unbiased, so utterly offensive is the thought of Lily Allen and Mark Ronson together covering the Kaiser Chiefs that I shouldn’t do this. I should walk away right now. And so should you, for this is as fully and unfledgingly bad as could be told. Ronson’s current phase of throwing together irritating people with good pop songs before ripping those songs apart and making them all sound like nu-swing is bad enough (‘Stop Me’ genuinely had me in tears of rage) but this; combining with Lily Allen and shitting upon of the Kaiser’s few really good moments, has ruined another facet of modern music by fully robbing Allen and the Chiefs of any ounce of charm they had left. Well done Ronson, you have now officially made the list.
