Exclusive: Amy Winehouse Is Hospitalised

Amy Winehouse has cancelled tonight’s (July 4) gig at Liverpool Summer Pops, amid fears the singer has been hospitalised.

There is no official word from Winehouse’s camp on the reason for the cancellation, but Gigwise has learnt from sources at the Summer Pops site that it’s because she is in hospital. The exact condition is not known.

Many of the thousands of fans arrived at the Summer Pops tent for the show, only to be told that it had been cancelled.

A fan said: “It was absolutely rammed with people standing around not knowing what was going on. We were eventually told that the show was cancelled and that organisers were hoping to rearrange it before the Pops finish on the 21st of July.”

  • I was supposed to be at the concert tonight and to be told 10 minutes before the doors opened was a huge disappointment. Get well soon, if you are geniuenly ill, if not you need to sort your act out as you are letting your fans down.

  • she takes the piss!! shes probably drunk somewhere, i was there tonight an was not very happy after travelling to find out she’d cancelled a gig again!! shes gonna lose alot of fans doing this!
