My Chemical Romance Hit Back At Marilyn Manson

My Chemical Romance have laughed off Marilyn Manson’s recent accusations they have copied his sound.

Singer Gerard Way has accused Manson of self-promotion after he revealed 'Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form Of Flattery’ off his new album ‘Eat Me, Drink Me’ is an attack on MCR for peddling a “sad, pitiful, shallow version” of his own work.

Way tells Rock Sound magazine, “If Elvis Costello said we sucked we would think about it a bit but usually it is comments from someone with a new record to promote so the remarks ring hollow

"We still haven't found someone that has knocked us down that we need to take seriously."

  • When I first heard Manson talk like that about My Chem, I thought it was pathetic. He’s been doing this for like... two years? I respect both artists but for Manson, I only respect his music rather than how he is in interviews.

  • dude MCR are totally better than marilyn manson.. if anyone is an attention seeker manson is it.. MCR havent ripped off manson.. MCR are totally original and totally awesome.............................
