Police drummer Stewart Copeland has trashed his band’s performance at one of their recent comeback shows.
Copeland posts an in depth critique of the band’s Vancouver gig – the second stop on their comeback tour - on his official website after a slew of miscues and mishaps resulted in what he describes as an "ubeLIEVably [sic] lame" show.
He mocks bandmate Sting for a mistimed dramatic leap, observing that he looked like “a petulant pansy instead of the god of rock.”
Copeland was equally unimpressed with his own efforts. He admits to making a total hash of their “big pompous opening” and then missing his cue into Message In A Bottle.
Despite the technical misfortunes, Copeland said the band enjoyed themselves, ending the show by falling into "each other's arms and laughing hysterically."
No doubt thinking about the cool $170million the tour is set to rake in.
