Madonna has turned down an invite to perform at the Diana memorial concert in July - because she'll be too busy rehearsing for Live Earth the following week.
Today's Mirror reports that the Queen Of Pop was asked by Andrew Lloyd Webber to reprise her role as Evita for the Wembley concert.
But Live Earth is only six days later, and they asked Madonna first.
A source told the paper: "Live Earth approached Madonna first and she is committed to performing there. It would be extremely hard to rehearse for both gigs at the same time and she wouldn't want to give less than 100 per cent to either"
The Diana Wembley audience won't miss much though, seeing as how 'Evita' was pretty rubbish.

- Did she use the phony English accent when she turned him down?

- Why would MADONNA want to work with them fake f...ers , Madonna had great respect for Diana , but the royals got rid of her.. So the answer is that we all agree Diana was amazing but this arrangement by Mr fake Elton john and the Royals is just untrue and another publicity scam for them to make us believe they really care about Diana , WAKE UP PEOPLE OF THE UK.

- Re the akmuk of the last posting.
Your ludicrous post made me feel quite ill! How anyone can be so crass as to imagine that Prince William and Prince Harry care less for the memory of their MOTHER than you or any other stranger might, defeats all imagination!
What a sad and pathetic person you must be!

- The concert was brilliant. I really enjoyed all acts. However what was Ricky Gervais upto? Did he genuinely have limited material leading to him having to pass on the stage to the BBC team. What kind of professional is he. He could not even cover a couple of minutes.

- Quite agree; he’s supposed to be a stand-up comedian for God’s sake!!
