Alex Turner says that the Arctic Monkeys would love to perform live with Amy Winehouse.
Winehouse is supporting the Arctic Monkeys on both of their Lancashire County Cricket Club dates this September along with Supergrass and The Coral.
Turner believes that this would be a perfect occasion for them to team up, telling Radio 1: “We really like her and her work and we would love to perform with her.
“We hear she is going to be playing at the same gig in Manchester as us. It would be great if we could perform live together.”
In the interview, Turner also confirmed that the band will not be staying in a hotel during Glastonbury, favouring an old-fashioned tent: “We’re going to stay in a wigwam. Maybe we could do the gig from there.”
