Over three thousand people who believed they had bought tickets for the Leeds and Reading Festivals have had them cancelled.
The news comes after the event sold out within hours of tickets going on sale on Monday evening.
Organisers say that the purchases were dealt with so quickly that the problems with some credit crads did not come to light until after confirmations had been emailed out to fans.
Around 1,100 people for Leeds and 2,000 people for Reading have been affected by the glitch in the system.
Melvyn Benn of Mean Fiddler said: “Cards were rejected either because their numbers were inputted incorrectly or they did not have sufficient funds.
"The sad thing is they got a confirmation and then relaxed and it wasn't until the next morning they were told there was a problem, by which time the weekend tickets were gone."
