The magnificent Bjork has revealed the full details of her new album.
The follow-up to 2004’s ‘Medulla’ is entitled ‘Volta’ and will surface on May 6 and a day later Stateside.
The 10-track album has been written entirely by Bjork, but as previously reported, features some guest appearances.
Amongst the appearances are a duet with Antony Hegarty from Antony and the Johnsons, a production with Timbaland and a 10 piece female Icelandic brass ensemble on three of the tracks.
Speaking to Pitchfork, Bjork says that the album was a joy to make. She said: “I wanted to do for this album was just to have fun and do something that was full-bodied and really up.”
