Lily Allen is planning one beginning her second album in the summer.
The outspoken pop star has a busy schedule over the next six months, but wants to start writing new material after she has played the festivals.
She wrote on her online blog: “I go to Japan again on the 10th (January) and then off to New Zealand and OZ fer Big Day Out , I can't wait then I'm off to LA for a bit before returning to England for my short tour and then some festivals .
“Hopefully after that I can get to writing the next album .”
She also thanked fans for making 2006 so successful. She added: “I want to thank everyone for contributing to make this the most amazing year of my life, I've had such a laugh and have achieved so much more than I could ever have anticipated.”
As previously reported, Lily will be bringing the New Year in on Jools Hollands’ Hootenanny on the BBC.
Her spring UK tour takes in the following dates:

Glasgow, Academy – 8
Manchester, Apollo – 10
Nottingham, Rock City – 11
London, Hammersmith Apollo - 12
