Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner took time to take a swipe at Take That at the Q Awards last night.
The Sheffield outfit won the Best Album and People’s Choice gong on the night, but were nonplussed about Take That’s Icon Award.
Upon picking up his first award, Turner said: “"A lot of people make jokes about having awards for no reason just for the sake of having awards, and pretending they were good when they weren't.
”I'm not old enough to know a lot of them, but even I know Take That were bollocks."
The comments were received with a mixture of cheers and boos.

- Arctic Monkeyboys just so badly want to be Oasis don’t they? And failing. Take That will be remembered for a long time - I doubt the Artless Flunkies will be remembered next year. Yawn. I forgot them already....

- Wehether you're shite or bollocks or anything, mates, you don't take the piss out of another musician. that's just professionalism and courtesy. Oasis took swipes, but look whetre that got them, today they mellowed down and respect others...arctic monkeys are a great band, but they need to learn. take that are a great band too, in a different way with a different audience. live and let die.
