Carl Barat: Drink Fuelled Motorcycle Ride Caused Collarbone Break

Carl Barat has revealed that he fell from a motorbike after a drinking session when he broke his collarbone in Taiwan last week.

As previously reported on Gigwise, because of the injury Dirty Pretty Things have been forced to draft in Paddington’s guitarist Josh Hubbard to take over from Barat on their US tour dates.

The band kick started their six date stint in Los Angeles last night (August 8), where Carl explained to BBC6music: "I went to karaoke and drunk a lot of saki, came outside, and people were stood out on their motorbikes.

”They were driving Triumphs which was a surprise to me, I asked to have a go and I did, and I fell off.

“I revved it up, and flew off the handle bars, only in a car-park, I didn't endanger anyone but myself."

Courtney Love was amongst those present in the rammed venue.
