The V festival is set to make a second trip across the Atlantic this summer with the announcement of a new site for the event in Baltimore.
The festival will be headlined by The Who and Red Hot Chili Peppers on September 23 along with The Killers, The Flaming Lips, The Raconteurs, Scissor Sisters and Gnarls Barkley.
Also on the bill are Keane, Kasabian, Wolfmother, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, New Pornographers and 2Many DJs.
Organiser Seth Hurwitz told Billboard they he expects the new festival to be an annual event, adding: "My concept was to book the absolute best, most power-packed, quality-versus-quantity lineup I could. I wanted to make this the most prestigious festival to play on for bands."
Tickets for the festival, which takes place at the 60,000 capacity Pimlico Racecourse, go on sale from July 22 and cost $97.50.
As previously reported on Gigwise V will also be making its first appearance in Canada this year with a two day event in September headlined by The Flaming Lips and Gnarls Barkley taking place in Toronto.
