Snoop Dogg is busy writing his debut novel which is expected to hit the shelves this autumn.

The rap giant is penning 'Love Don’t Live Here No More' which chronicles a California man’s life in the hip-hop world.

It’s the first in a series of ‘street-lit’ books Snoop – real name Calvin Broadus – is planning on writing.

Kathleen Schmidt from publishers Atria Books told The Book Standard: “Snoop, by nature of what he does, is a storyteller.

“Books speak more to a female audience than does his music, so these novels give him an opportunity to show, particularly his female fans, another side.”
