 The Gorillaz are reportedly planning to star in their own TV cartoon series.

Damon Albarn and his other monkey friends are hoping that the show will be an alternative animated series for the more discerning cartoon enthusiast.

An insider told The Sun: "They are really excited about this project. It'll be a really funky, cool show for older kids."

It is believed that animator Jamie Hewlitt will be working with the ‘band’ on this new project.
