Kanye West has heaped praise on Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders saying he’s nearly as good as Phil Collins.

The multi-million selling rapper believes that the band’s rhythmic sound is comparable to Genesis.

He’s quoted by Arctic Monkeys fansite Mardy Bum as saying: "The guy on the drums is real tight, man. He's got that whole British vibe going on and he brings that Phil Collins, Genesis sound to the table.

”I can always tell if a band have a British rhythm section due to the gritty production."
