Gigwise has been informed by a source close to Test Icicles that the London three piece are to split in March after their upcoming touring commitments.
Although there is yet to be any official word on the split Gigwise has been told by a number of sources that it is definite.
The shock news comes barely three months after the trio of Dev Hynez, Sam Merran and Rory Aggwelt released their debut album ‘For Screening Purposes Only’.
The source told Gigwise that the band will split for good on March 29.
Apparently their label Domino have known that they planned to only make one album and call it a day from the start.
It is also thought that they have become tired of and are no longer enjoying the incessant touring involved with the promotion of the album and singles.
Test Icicles are due to play SXSW in March, and are currently on tour in the UK. The remaining dates are:
Oxford, Zodiac – January 31
Stoke, Sugarmill – February 1
London, ULU – 2
London, Hammersmith Palais – February 24
